Koch Internship Program
About the Program
Offers current students hands-on work experience and foundational education around the principles and ideals of individual liberty and limited government.
Stand Together Fellowships hosts the Koch Internship Program (KIP) over the course of 12 weeks, providing professional development programming through our two-day, in-person summit at Stand Together’s headquarters in Arlington, Virginia as well as virtual programming that takes place every other Thursday from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET during the internship experience.
Programming focuses on three objectives:
- Understanding the foundational principles of a free society such as individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and the rule of law
- Learning the Stand Together community’s vision for change and how a principled approach to problem solving can help address society’s biggest challenges
- Opportunities and pathways to build a career advancing liberty and a free society
When not in programming with Stand Together Fellowships, interns gain meaningful professional experience working at a non-profit partner organization, directly applying the concepts they’ve learned in programming to their internship role, which could be in policy research, communications, program management, fundraising, or another area critical to driving policy change. Interns will build connections with professionals at their partner organization, peers, and the Stand Together community as they explore careers that advance the ideals of liberty and limited government.
Stand Together Fellowships pays participants a stipend of either $7,500 for full-time participants working 40 hours per week at their partner organization, or $5,500 for part-time participants working approximately 24 hours per week at their partner organization. Attending the entirety of the summit and virtual programming sessions is required for both full and part-time participants.
